Lovely little cake and coffee shop in Heavitree. It's unusual - and welcomed - to find a place where gluten free is THE priority. A good place to pause after a peaceful walk in the Higher Cemetery or before collecting the grandchildren from Ladysmith school.

Amazing gluten free bakes! It's always nice to be able to walk into a place and know it's safe for me to eat everything there . I really recommend the tiffin but it's all incredible. The portion you get for the price is mega too. The staff are always so friendly and chatty. It's quite frankly dangerous for my bank account to only live around the corner

This place is exceptional for a gluten free bakery. The brownies and tiffin are amazing. Plus they have a bench there to have a coffee inside and it is good quality coffee. This place is the source for a lot of patisserie delights sold at cafés in the area.

HIDDEN TREASURE Me and my husband accidentally came across Cocorico as he was working nearby and we were parked outside the cafe, so I decided to look them up and see what they had to offer. Much to my surprise that they specialise in Gluten Free baked good! This must have been a sign for us as my husband has Coeliac’s disease so he is unable to eat any items containing gluten. So upon his return we decided to pop in and it was so lovely to see the open plan kitchen which is where every bake that is being sold to the public is made. The atmosphere was very cosy and felt homely. The staff were very informative and even let us know that they supply baked goods in our area which we were unaware of! So we will now be able to get our Cocorico fix in our hometown I have to say that both me and my husband were shocked and amazed by these brownies! These have to be the best brownies we have ever tried, not just gluten free but in general! For someone who is able to eat gluten (myself) I cannot compare these to any other brownies I have tried before. These are in a league of their own thankfully we ordered more to take home and consume later on today/tomorrow, because one, is just not enough for a treat that is this good Cocorico is one of those hidden gems that unless you know it’s there or have been recommended to visit, you may not necessarily find it on the off chance. We were just super lucky to have done just that. You could say it was the right place and right time, that’s for sure! thank you Cocorico for providing amazing baked goods to not just the general public but to Coeliac’s who seem to miss out on the ‘good stuff’. Keep up the fantastic work!
